A COUNTRY I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT

Hi people! Whats up? 

Today, I'm gonna tell you about a country I would like to visit someday. This country is Uruguay, specifically I would like to go to the Carval de Verano. 

Some time ago, I met some friends who sing murga, at that time I didn't know what murga is, but one day they invited me to sing with them and that day I fell in love with Murga Uruguaya. Murga is a carnaval gender that comprise coral voices, theater, carnaval percussion and political parody. The murgueros go out to the stages and the street is between January and February, at the carnIval.

I would love to visit Montevideo by the carnival time to see the comparsas of candome in the Desfile de Llamadas at July 18th Street, go to listen tango live concerts and obviously see murga shows.

I think that more than the carnaval, the thing I like most of Uruguay is the syncretism, mixed popular culture and the afro and spanic influences, that I see reflected in their music and folclore. By the way, all the uruguyans I have met were beautiful people.

If someday I visit Uruguay, it will be to study their folclore, celebrate the carnival, sing and learn more about murga and tango.
